DREAMS OF HAPPINESS
OUR DOCUMENTARY
Can We Save Our Orphans?

We at The शिक्षा (learning) Foundation have fabricated the  solution to relieving our orphans from perpetual dejection and despair. Our foundation facilitates creative workshops, cross-cultural engagements, general education courses, and the provision of basic hygienic necessities at the Children’s Welfare Home, in Sarita Vihar. We seek to cultivate our children's inquisitive natures to assist them in identifying and exploring their passions, skills and talents, in order to establish a secure and content future.

Workshop 1

During the second encounter with our children, we proceeded with a graphic presentation that depicted the many potential professions that an individual might pursue. We hoped that by doing so, we would be able to generate ideas and ambitions among the children as to what they desired to be when they grow up, as well as assist them in developing their perspectives and goals. We also gave a presentation to the children on the celebrations of our country's festivals and cross-cultural festivals, with the aim of fostering awareness of not only our nations' customs, but also cross-cultural understandings. Additionally, we wrapped the session by performing the festival of rakhi amongst our children.

Workshop 2

By asking general questions for our introductory session, we aimed at developing a comfortable atmosphere in an attempt to lay the foundation for communicative and dependent relationships. To energise and excite our children, we carried out a dance (zumba) session with an online instructor. Following the dance, we discussed Indian history and symbolism, and distributed customised drawing books (based on Independence day) to our children.

Workshop 3

We continued to share joy and knowledge to our children during the third session. This time, we educated our children about the several nations and various fun facts about each of the countries, with the objective of instilling a sense of general global awareness in each young mind. Additionally, we investigated different puzzles to ascertain their degree of wit, to enliven the conversation, and, essentially, to bring delight to our children. To conclude the session, our team mate (Devika Shastri) showcased her journey through the Jungle’s of India by presenting her wildlife photography to create a sense of acknowledgement for the majestic creatures of the Indian forests.
